God's Love

God's Love

"God is love." (1 John 4:16)

As we look at the evil in this sin-sick world it is easy to see why non-believers say that God cannot be a God of love. It's hard to find words to describe how low mankind has sunk and, despite all the empty talk, things are only going to get worse until Jesus…

COME WITH CONFIDENCE

Dearly Beloved,

COME WITH CONFIDENCE

“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16 NIV).

“In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence” (Ephesians 3:12 NIV).

At last, this old year is winding up! The new year is coming with many hope and expectations. Do we need to be afraid? Absolutely not! For we are serving the One who holds…

From the Deep

Ten miles out the waters were smooth as glass, as if we were sitting on a giant mirror. To say that the water was stretching from sunup to sunset would have been an understatement. Nothing could be seen except water and the sky. The water had no attraction so I found myself straining to catch the exact beginning of day or the ending at night. I thought it would be an easy task without obstructions. But I was unprepared for the beginning of the day. It announced itself in a crescendo of…

THE FIRST NOEL

Dearly Beloved,

THE FIRST NOEL

"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a…

A Christmas Message

Do you know that our Jewish brothers and sisters have just finished celebrating Hanukah?

As we read about Hanukah from the point of view of a believer and follower of Jesus; we are struck by the parallels that can be drawn from the history of the holiday. It is celebrated from sunset, Sat Dec 8th till sunset Saturday Dec 16th and is a reminder of the time when the temple in Jerusalem in 164 BC, after the popular revolt in 165 BC led by an elderly priest Mattathias and…

APPRECIATION OF CHRISTMAS

Jesus is the Messiah and source of life for all kinds of people. Jesus restored life to a dead girl and stopped a woman with continuous bleeding. Then he healed two blind men, and a demon possessed man who was unable to speak. (Mathew 9:18-33) No matter what the problem man may be going through, Jesus had ability to cure all manner of sickness and demonic attack. We should recognize our need and turning to God in faith is the first appreciation of Christmas

Faith And Faithfulness

Faith And Faithfulness

"The righteous will live by faith." Hab. 2:4

The following article was written by Jacob Prasch of Moriel Ministries. I have added the bits in square brackets.

In Hebrew, the word for "faith" is "emunah" from…

Jehovah is waiting to Deliver your Package

Greetings Friends and Colleagues,

For centuries we and many of our ancestors have been praying and asking Jehovah for deliverance's and many other types of blessings.  Often times planting seeds but not being willing to wait for the harvest.

The word clearly tells us too lean not upon our own understandings, however being of the flesh many of us can't seem to allow Jehovah to do what he has promised simply because we want it now.

Many of us have spent years…

HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A HASPPY NEW YEAR

WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS TO ME!

Having travelled quite a while through life, it is a special time of reflecting and rejoicing in the TRUTH of the virgin birth of my Beloved Lord Jesus Christ, SAVIOR OF THE WORLD!

I’m celebrating the TRUTH that GOD so loved me that He sacrificed His only begotten Son on Calvary’s Cross to pay the full penalty of my sins and set me free from condemnation and death - eternal separation from…

To the Max

We rescued him from a pet store. They told us this white bundle of fur was to be put to sleep if he was not adopted that day. He was about a year old. We discovered we didn’t have to do much training. He just seemed to adapt to us as we adapted to him.

He would only eat his food once he knew, for sure, we were home for the night and eating dinner. As a matter of fact, he wouldn’t even drink water until we got home. We guessed he hated the scolding if he had accident. If scolded he…

Love, Friendship, & People

After reading in my promises book, God begin to speak to me about people and friendship; this applies to me but I wanted to share it with you’ll in case you are having the same problem with trying to reach out to people so you can have friends.

My problem was I was not only looking for a close friend, a confidant, as Bishop Jakes calls them, but also someone to satisfy specific emotions (loneliness, fear, security, love, and…

Preaching Through Prayer

That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

[Isaiah 7:14] As we move through the final days of Advent and into the season of Christmas,

Today's reflection is sparked by one of the most popular Advent hymns, "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel."

This hymn, originally composed in Latin, is one of the oldest in any hymnal. It is based on an even older set…

Thoughts about the children of Newtown

There are 20 less angels on earth tonight The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels tonight. They're our students and our teachers and our parents and our friends. The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels, but every time we think we have measured our capacity to meet a challenge, we look up and we're reminded that that capacity may well be limitless We add…

STILL ON PRAYING FOR THE DEAD

Dearly Beloved,

STILL ON PRAYING FOR THE DEAD

"May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains. On the contrary, when he was in Rome, he searched hard for me until he found me. May the Lord grant that he will find mercy from the Lord on that day! You know very well in how many ways he helped me in Ephesus" (2 Timothy 1:16-18 NIV).

Before I sent my message on praying for the dead out two weeks ago, I…

Walk In The Spirit! Part 5

Walk In The Spirit! Part 5

If you try and walk in the Spirit and the flesh at the same time you become confused; double minded as James states in James 1:8. When you are double minded, you might live for God one day and decide the next you want to…
