Word For Today

ASK and it shall be given unto you SEEK, and ye shall find: KNOCK and it shall be opened unto you. Matthew 7:7.

This verse of scripture, seem so simple on the surface, yet so powerful in its meaning and application. and one must not fail to recognize the essence of the message. It instructs believers to ASK, SEEK and KNOCK because these three words cover the whole spectrum of prayer.

Prayer is ASKING and…

FROM PASTOR WILL'S DESK

"Religion is a destroyer of faith and spiritual health. Religion, legalisms and dogma have fragmented and divided the Body of Christ to the point that Christ has been lost in church. In fact, if we haven't evicted Him from the church altoge…

Peter The Fisherman

A look at Peter's character.

Peter is often spoken of in disrespectful terms as though he was foolishly outspoken or always putting his foot in his mouth. I even heard a sermon in which he was called a fool for getting out of the boat to walk on the water. However, I think Peter showed a lot of courage and faith and simply wore his heart…

I SALUTE MOTHERS

Dearly Beloved,

I SALUTE MOTHERS

"Village life in Israel ceased, ceased until I, Deborah, arose, arose a mother in Israel" (Judges 5:7 NIV).

I always admire women especially mothers for their extraordinary caring attitude. In fact, I salute them. The prevailing issue of the abducted school girls in Chibok (a town in the northeastern Nigeria) by the extreme Islamic militants popularly known as Boko Haram again brings out the caring attitude of women. While many men are…

Experience Balance When Facing Obstacles

By Donna Ghanney (Wortham), CEO Kingdom Empowerment, Inc.

We all face obstacles in our life at one time or another.  It normally is not until we become self-aware of our own spirit, soul, and body that we can balance strengths and weaknesses when facing challenges of life.

As life progresses from our original roots in life we take on…

Good For Evil, and Evil For Good

By Donna Ghanney (Wortham), CEO Kingdom Empowerment, Inc.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20 KJV

According to the Holy Bible, there are individuals in this world that calls things evil as though that it were good and good as though that it were evil.  They are people that make things bitter appear to be sweet, and…

Joesph, a type of Christ!

Joesph is a picture of Jesus Christ in the following ways:

They were both:

Beloved sons (Gen 37:3; Matthew 3:13)

   Hated (Gen 37:4; John 15:4)

Rejected as rulers (Gen 37:8; Lk 19:14)

Conspired against (Gen 37:18; Matt 27:1)

Sold for silver (Gen 37:28; Matt 26:15)

   Over-comers of temptation (Gen 39:7-12; Heb 4:15)

Given great power (Gen 41:42-44; Matt 28:18)

 Some…

Sin Caused by Envy is unjustifiable

In spite of the favor that Jacob showed Joesph, there can be no justification for the action taken by Joesph's brothers. It was sin caused by ency. Instead of being grateful for Joesph who brought them food, they were overcome with jealousy and even thought of killing him (Gen 37:18-20).

The Apostle James says, "where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every eveil practice (Ja 3:16 - NIV)

Peter admonishes us to put away 'all malice and all deceit,…

A Story of God's Grace

The Life of Joesph is an amazing story of God's grace! No story is the Bible is a better example of God keeping His promise that 'all things work together for good to them that love God.' This is God's promise that out of things that are not good in themselves He will bring about that which is good, not only for the ministers of God's grace but also for those to whom they minister.

Joesph was sold into slavery and imprisoned, but God used these adversities as stepping stones into his…

God's Judgement
