A G IANT AND YOU

GIANT-VIEW *********

I SAMUEL 17 : 1 - 11.

The Philistines gathered their armies together

to battle against Saul and the men of Israel;

Battles were not new to Saul or the men of Israel.

They were ready to fight;

But, suddenly the confidence and courage became

doubt and despair!

The reason?

The Giant Goliath!

This one giant was sufficient enough to mock the

entire army of Israel;The size and the challenge!

Even though men of…

A Witness Between Us—that the Lord is God

A Witness Between Us—that the Lord is God.

In Joshua 22 we read about the two tribes, Reuben & Gad having built an alter of remembrance unto God for future generations (verses 26-29) and explaining to Phinehas the priest why they did this. Verse 34 says they gave the alter a name.

Joshua 22:34

Amplified Bible (AMP)

34 The Reubenites and Gadites called the altar Ed [witness], saying, It shall be: A Witness Between Us that the Lord is God.

HOW TO HANDLE HARD TIMES by Pastor Dale O'Shields

HOW TO HANDLE HARD TIMES

Posted by Pastor Dale on 08 Jun 2014

'Life is hard at times. Sometimes it’s excruciatingly painful.

Just because we’re believers in Jesus Christ, we don’t by-pass all hardships, trouble, problems and challenges. When we receive Christ we don’t get an “immunity card” that exempts us from difficulties. Our faith is not proven true by the absence of rough stuff but by the grace and strength to victoriously endure and overcome it when it… Continue

We Sould Not Question Our Calling Part-3

God also call us to suffer if need be in carrying out the Great Commission . Peter wrote , ''For to this you were called , because Christ also suffered for us , leaving us an example , that you should follow His steps '' ( Pet. 2:21 ) . Suffering and sacrifice in God's service are not popular among Christians today . But the fact is , God's call is a call to self-denial and suffering . Jesus made it clear that ''if anyone desires to come after Me , let him deny himself , and take up his…

IN-LAWS: BLESSING OR CURSE?

Dearly Beloved,

IN-LAWS: BLESSING OR CURSE?

“When Esau was forty years old, he married Judith daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and also Basemath daughter of Elon the Hittite. They were a source of grief to Isaac and Rebekah” (Genesis 26:34-35 NIV).

I was in a wedding reception some time ago when I overheard a woman sharing with another woman about her sweet experience with the sisters of her husband. According to her, her husband’s sisters are so nice to her and her son…

We Should Not Question Our Calling Part-2

God's call echoes  throughout the Bible . Moses experienced that call . ''God called to him from the midst of the bush '' ( EX. 3:4 ) , and '' ( God ) called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud '' ( EX. 24:16 ) . These great heroes of the faith---Abraham, Elijah , Elisha , Daniel , Amos , Jonah , , Samuel , Matthew , John , Peter , And Paul----are but a few biblical examples among the hundreds whom God called into His service . Each person was unique , and each person was called of God…

We Should Not Question Our Calling

'' For you see your calling , brethren , that not many wise according to the flesh , not many mighty , not many noble , are called . But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise , and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty,,, that no flesh should glory in His presence ( 1 Cor, 1 : 26-27 , 29 ) .

Leaders When We Have Problems In Our Lives

We need to let his words, His presence, and His everlasting promises find  their place back in our life, our heart, our calling, and our place of service when we are  down . Let them be our joy, our peace, and  confidence. They are our legacy, our heritage, and our sacred trust in Him our Lord Jesus Christ .God bless you all my sisters and brothers. And in Jesus name I pray Amen.
