Think On These Things

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Phil 4:8-9 (KJV)

What we think controls the way we live our lives. If we… Continue

Will You Stand Or Fold?

35 While He is yet speaking, men come from the house to the Warden, and say, "Your daughter is dead: why trouble the Rabbi further?" 36 But Jesus, overhearing the words, said to the Warden, "Do not be afraid; only have faith." 37 And He allowed no one to accompany Him except Peter and the brothers James and John. 38 So they come to the Warden's house. Here He gazes on a scene of uproar, with people weeping aloud and wailing. 39 He goes in. "Why all this outcry and loud weeping?" He asks; "the… Continue

1 Cor. Commentary - Chapter 3, THE CHURCH IS HOLY

CHAPTER 3: THE CHURCH IS HOLY

v. 1 Many of the Corinthian Christians hadn’t entered into spiritual maturity but where carnal (worldly). They were still living the carnal lives meaning they where dominated by desires of human flesh and mind and demonstrating human wisdom instead of Godly wisdom. Paul called them babes in Christ (2 Peter 1).

v. 2 Babes in Christ aren’t able to understand and put into practice the clear teachings of the Bible. They look more to testimonies and stories.… Continue

It all started with Network TV....!

If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times...We need to bring back some form a censorship like we had in TV when it first started. Freedom is not free, but choice is. Hollywood, Cable Co., Network TV, and the Federal Government need to wake up and see what they are doing to the American public and the World view of us. A lot of the problems that we see Americans being accused of is not Americans, but THEM instead.

But since the world perceives us through Hollywood…

The Lonely Ember

"A member of a certain church, who previously had been attending services regularly, stopped going.

After a few weeks, the pastor decided to visit him. It was a chilly evening. The pastor found the man at home alone, sitting before a blazing fire.

Guessing the reason for his pastor's visit, the man welcomed him, led him to a big chair near the fireplace and waited. The pastor made himself comfortable but said nothing. In the grave silence, he contemplated the play of…

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO CARRY THE CROSS

"Everything."

When He said, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up (lift up) his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life

will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For

what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his

soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?" Matt. 16:24-26;

Mark 8:34; Luke 9:23;

The requirement of any follower of Jesus is that they are a… Continue

1 Corinthians - Introduction and Chapter 1 Commentary

1 CORINTHIANS – A COMMENTARY BY DR. HENRY VAZQUEZ, TH.D

INTRODUCTION:

Paul went to Corinth in Greece on his second missionary journey. Corinth was a thriving commercial center and a very corrupt city. The church in Corinth had several problems, so Paul wrote this epistle to deal with them. Wherever imperfect people congregate in the name of Jesus, there will be disagreements. If they are not dealt with promptly and properly, they can become major divisions. The unity of believers is the… Continue

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.
