Wrestling fans remember a pro wrestler back in the 80's named 'Randy Macho Man Savage. He wore flamboyant outfits, outrageous sunglasses and spoke with a gravely voice. His favorite saying was, "Oh Yeahhh!!!" He was named by the WWE as the greatest champion wrestling has ever seen. He held twenty world titles and scores of lessor honors.
Randall Mario Poffo was Savage's real name. It was obvious he could not be a fearsome warrior with a name like that so a fellow wrestler told…

I was watching Dr. Phil today talking with some parents whose teenagers were out of control. These teens were the quintessential 'bad girls'. They had absolutely no respect for authority especially mom and dad. They drank, smoked, stayed out late and hung out with boys that used and abused them. One of the girls demanded that daddy buy her a car or she would not go on the Dr. Phil show. When the family arrived at the set to tape the show the same daughter who demanded the car did not want to…

When I was saved at the age of ten in 1963 my thirst for truth began. The Holy Spirit quickened my heart and mind to dive into God's Word and discover it's life changing doctrines. I surrendered to preach at age fourteen, graduated from Bible College at age twenty-three and pastored my first church. My search for doctrinal rightism (my term) drove me to what the book Pilgrim's Progress describes as the "slough of despond". I quickly realized that my quest was not possible…

Those of us who take the Bible literally believe there is a time period in world history describing the end of days. These events surround the time when Jesus Christ returns to snatch away His Bride (the church). Many Christians today wonder if we are already living in the end of days. Bible Scholars, prophecy teachers and preachers have produced hundreds of volumes of text trying to unpack this important teaching.
They have developed systems and models such as…
